How it Works

Here are the steps to getting your personalized crokinole board:

  1. Pick from one of our preset options: We’ve provided layouts along with examples to show the best places to get custom work done: in specific regions of the board, or text outside of the outer boundary line. Choose which option you would like.
    • Insert your Text / Image:
    • Text: Input the text you would like on the edge of the board (maximum number of characters) as well as the font (select from a few options that match the style of the Tracey Board).
    • Image: Once you’ve selected a region of the board, upload the image you would like to be put in that area. Pick from one of our preset options: We’ve provided layouts along with examples to show the best places to get custom work done: in specific regions of the board, or text outside of the outer boundary line. Choose which option you would like.
  1. We’ll get back to you with a mock up: We’ll take your text / image along with your requested placement and create a mock-up for you to review. NOTE: we may slightly edit / send additional options if we think there is a better placement for your logo.
  2. Confirm, pay, and enjoy! Finalize the mock-up, pay for the board, and it’ll start making its way through production and be on its way to you!

Question & Answer:

Q: How much does a custom board cost?

A: This is understandably the first question we get in regards to custom work on boards. If you purchase one of our preset design layouts, here is what the price for custom work will be on top of the cost of the board (prices may vary depending on the area / size / workload of the request) NOTE that these prices are listed in Canadian Currency:

  • Text on edge: $75- 125
  • Image(s) in the Quadrant(s): $125- 175
  • Image(s) in the 10 region: $125 – 175
  • Image in the Centre of the Board: $125- 150

If you have a design that goes beyond these options, the price will vary depending on what you want done, and how much effort it takes to complete the job. Contact us if there’s something outside of these presets that you would like done!

Q: Where can you print on the board, and where CAN’T you print?

A: We only print on the playing surface of the board, which means we DO NOT print on: the railing, the gutter, in the centre hole, or on the posts.

We also do not print over the lines of the playing surface, as it becomes harder to play on as you can’t see if a disc is touching the line or not in some cases.

Finally, we don’t print right up to the centre hole. What that means is, if you get a design in the 15 region, we will leave a small space between the printing and the edge of the centre hole.

Q: What can you print onto a board?

A: The short answer is, mostly anything! We can print logos, text, images, as long as what you’ve submitted is a workable file, we can print it! Please note: Tracey Boards reserves the right to refuse any design for any reason.

Q: What kind of image files do you need for completing custom work?

A: We can work with mostly any file type, HOWEVER, high quality images are always best! Some recommendations from us are to get a nice vector file of what you want printed, but high quality PNG or PDF files sometimes work as well.

We can NOT work with: blurry images, reference photos (we are not designers, so we can’t recreate images), or files of low quality in general.
